I walked through the door into our 2 bed 2 bath apartment and the first thing I did was pick up a pile of hair from off the floor. Picked up another lot in the bedroom. The whole place was dusty. Furniture the cheapest rubbish with peeling paint and chips. I spoke to the staff and they moved us the next day as they were fully booked the first night. The second room was on a higher floor and a bit cleaner. Squashed bug on the bedroom wall though. We paid a lot of money to stay here, and left a day early to go home because we didn't want to be there. We did see a room being cleaned and it looked a lot more like the photos on wotif.com. But in our case the photos were very deceiving. Was also advertised as parking available, which I assumed would be in the building, but had to park the car in a public car park. Would not recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aura. With fantastic views and proximity to the arts precinct of Melbourne, our stay was perfect. The staff were accomodating, helpful and friendly. The well designed apartment with cooking facilities and separate bedroom made it especially comfortable and affordable for our particular health needs. Our room was dirty and had a smell about it. The toilet still had faeces around the rim of the bowl. Got moved to another room. That room had food grime on kitchen cupboards and the bin still had rubbish in it from previous people. Bed was hard. Would never stay again. The staff were great however.

Other than not being able to check in until 14:20 due to the room not being ready it was a great place to stay, central to everything we love to do in Melbourne and the room had plenty of space for 3 adults, I would definitely stay there again 👍
