"I made the drive to Durham so I could see a show at the Durham performing arts center. The Marriott is very close. The hotel itself is clean and well cared for. My room was perfect. The thing that set this experience apart from a lot of other experience I have had was the employees. Every member I interacted with from the valet when I arrived, the women at the desk, a woman I spoke with in the bar to find out where I could get something to eat because it was late. Everyone without exception was so kind to me. I could not have had a better experience. You could have the most beautiful hotel in the world and one employee could spoil your stay. The employees at this property are worth their weight and gold."

"Staff welcoming & helpful. Valet parking was well worth it as streetside parking was difficult near the hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom & shower spotless! Bonus was our corner room with a view of the Christmas festival & tree lighting going on. Enjoyed the art museum aspect as well. Just a 5 minute walk from DPAC & many restaurant choices. Would highly recommend! "

"Hotel was very clean, just didn’t have a fresh smell. Loved the shower!! The room was spacious. Sofa bed was not very comfortable. Also loved having free breakfast offered! Front desk reception had excellent customer service! Loved that hotel was close to convention center and restaurants! Don’t like that you have to pay for parking. "

"Great location. Just a few steps from the convention center, where the conference I was in town for was hosted. Clean and comfy with retro decor that’s too cute. My room overlooked the lively pool and bar so it was a little noisy, but earplugs were provided, and I didn’t mind. The lobby had a DJ, and if I were a few years younger, I would have had a ball dancing! I will definitely stay at this venue again the next time I’m in downtown Durham. "
