Loved this hotel and the gentleman behind reception was brilliant but please do something about the service in the restaurant which appears to be franchised out. The bartender pressured us to take our order for food at the bar and the female greeter was very unhappy about this and turned very rude and dismissive towards us and told us we could not sit in the restaurant. There appeared to be some sort of turf war going on between the two of them probably relating to the service charge. Fortunately the head waiter was also excellent but that did not change the hostile attitude coming from the female meet and greet person . However it gets worse . We took a bottle of wine into the reception area in front of a lovely log fire When at 9:45 pm We were informed that the restaurant was closing And, our wine glasses were taken away and our wine was poured into plastic half pint glasses. About five minutes later some more guests arrived wanting a drink and they were informed by the embarrassed person behind the desk that the bar was closed. Honestly do something about your bar and restaurant before the hotel loses its reputation.

This was a very beautiful hotel. We had a room off of the courtyard with 14 foot ceilings. The library was cosy and a lovely place to spend a few hours. Courtyard was a peaceful spot for reading at on of the iron tables. Close to LAX and a short Uber to the botanical gardens. Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful hotel. Good location. Right off of 405 Fwy, 10 minutes from LAX. Plenty of restaurant and fast food choices nearby. Cons: No free breakfast, $20 parking. Stayed in Room 458 and there was a droning noise that maintenance could not correct. Affected my room and 456. Only stayed one night so didn't want to change rooms.
