The Godfrey Hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. They text up dated messages to me as I was staying there during the wildfires. I could text them anytime and they always answered my text. The staff were very polite and courteous. Hoping I can return again in the near future.

Property was a "VENUE" for Hollywood things- music parties, TicTok Influencers, etc. The lobby was filled with very intoxicated guests in tiny bathing outfits, wet towels when we checked in and the ThumpThump Music for the party in the roof went on until well after 11P. Assured there were no events Sunday so we didnt check out early, the Salsa Party started and went on until 2am! Changing rooms at 10:30pm didnt help with the pulsing walls and thus NO sleep until the 5A Uber to get out of LA. This horrible experience ruined a concert experience and LA for me permanently. No recomp due to booking 3rd party- EXPEDIA! BEWARE and dont stay here unless you are making videos of yourself.

Enjoyed our stay. We were able to check in early for a small fee. Bed was comfortable. Other reviews mentioned loud noise from bar but room was quiet so that was good. Staff could have been a tad friendlier but they were fine.

The staff is not helpful and very rude. Security especially they assume you are not staying there yet you have a key to get on the elevator. You can keep things secure and have decorum.

While the rooms are updated, they are small, which did not inconvenience us, however, for a family it might not be the best option. The disapointment of this stay was the lack of communication. The front desk texted us two hours after our check in to alert us of the party that was being hosted on the roof top. They "invited" us by asking us to get a bracelt from the front. We went, not because we wanted to party but because we wanted to use the pool, also located on the top floor. Once we arrived, we were greeted with extremely loud music and were not allowed to use any of the pool chairs or tables to set our items down. We were also told to dump our water bottle out. Not sure why? It's important to note that all guests are charged an "amentities" fee of $38. But for what? We could not even use the space without security telling us to move our items. It was uncomfortable with such loud music. We stayed maybe an hour while watching other hotel guests come, see, and leave upset. My advice to the hotel would be to keep at least a few chairs and tables open for hotel guests since we are paying to be there. I would also suggest being honest about what type of hotel you are -a loud party hotel. The party went on until 11:00 pm -on a SUNDAY. The windows are also old and not properly sealed so you get all of the noise of the drunkards hobbling off, fighting in the street out front from the party. Not cool for a hotel.

nice room, larger than expected, with a rooftop that has killer views. staff was pleasant, check in/out was quick. I appreciated that they warned me of a large group in the hotel and offered an upgrade or cancellation ahead of time. the group was no problem at all, and I saw them throughout the hotel. Would come back if seeing a show in Hollywood. valet parking expensive at $55, but I think it’s fairly typical for LA. They were quick bringing it to me though
