Do not book this motel. We were unable to stay at the motel because of road closures due to snow on our day of travel, 11/15. Because we purchase insurance through Travelocity when making the reservation, we thought we would be reimbursed as we had to stay at another hotel for the evening in a different area. But because the Motel claimed we stayed the night - which we didn't do - our claim has been repeatedly denied by Generali. We won't stay there or book through Travelocity or use Generali again.

This one surpassed our expectations, great location just minutes from Mt Whitney. Spacious rooms with all the amenities. Lot of dining options within walking distance. You can see Mt Whitney from the parking lot.

Totally fine motel, somewhat old school in terms of decor, but clean. Nice refrigerators and microwaves, cozy paisley sheets. I felt it was a bit overpriced at the $100 we paid through Expedia, but this is a special location, so perhaps the price is justified. Basically an old-fashioned motel, comfortable and clean.
