Great property especially if weather cooperates. Sport facility including pool and sauna were great. Our room was large and comfortable but needed some upgrading. The meals in the restaurant were average and evening bar area was quite cold.

Nice weekend stay
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was on the smaller side and could probably do with some modernising and the bed was small, the window was left open so the room was incredibly cold however the room was very clean and did have everything we needed. We went down to the bar for a drink and we felt that the service was not great at this point, there were 3 members of staff on the bar and just us stood there yet not one of them acknowledged us to say ‘be with you in a second we are just busy’ they all completely ignored us and I had to ask if it was ok that we ordered, when we did order a cider and gin, I asked for a single and was served and charged for a double. However, we were grateful for good service from both the reception desk of the hotel and the pool, both able to help with anything we needed in a timely manner which was great. We really enjoyed the facilities of the hotel and loved a swim in the morning to start the day. The leisure centre had great amenities and was equipped with everything necessary. The location of the hotel has good links with public transport into London and the surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return in summer so we could enjoy the grounds more.

Unsure why we were provided with a room for people with a disability, emergency pull cords everywhere, 1 over the bed which had to be repositioned, a wet room not a bath room so couldn't use shower without wetting the toilet area. Fridge provided which may have been useful had I known in advance! . Bar area closed at 22:40hrs not 24:00hrs as advised. Pool/Sauna located outside hotel so not convenient in poor weather and available to 'members' as well as hotel guests, this does not make for a relaxing experience. Sauna/Steam room closed 2 weeks before our stay for refurb, no mention on website when booking & wouldn't had bothered if we had known. A small sauna ( 3 people max ) was available in both men's & women's changing area but our experience was that these were smelly and unhealthy. Pool being used by a kids swimming club and all the seating areas were occupied by parents. No mention when checking in that there was an event that evening on the lawn outside the hotel, directly below our room which looked like it included mulled wine and canopies and seemed to be celebrating the lighting of the Christmas trees at the front of the hotel, not sure who was invited, guests or just VIP's! I would have liked to have attended, particularly as a brass band was banging out Christmas tunes just as we were trying to have a nap! The room was very spacious ( for wheelchair users) but uncomfortably hot to sleep in. After a 1 night stay we both ended up ill with throat/ chest issues.

Lovely location have stayed several times. Always think the reception staff could be a little friendlier. Also, the shower in my room was stupidly small and a bit retro in design. Time for a modernisation!

Tiny box room that was so hot when I I had to open all the windows very average . Downfall I needed to be out early in the morning breakfast starts at 7 am but the staff would not let you in a minute earlier despite everything ready .So say for 15 mins waiting .

Very poor experience all round
1. Room Issues We had booked a family room with the specific request for a baby cot. Unfortunately, the room was far too small to accommodate the cot comfortably, and we had to move it around constantly to navigate the space. Additionally, the room smelled of damp and alcohol, which was both unpleasant and unacceptable. 2. Dining Experience Dinner was another disappointment. Although your staff provided lovely service, we had to wait an unreasonably long time for our meal, and the food itself was dry and unsatisfactory. To compound this, the breakfast the following morning was cold, which further added to our frustration. 3. Privacy and Disturbances At 10:13 a.m., a staff member knocked on our door while my wife was breastfeeding. Despite taking only a moment to answer, the staff opened the door without permission. This was a gross invasion of our privacy. Even if your system had not been updated, there is no justification for entering or disturbing guests 45 minutes before the standard check-out time. Moreover, our check-out time had been changed to 12 p.m. the previous evening, yet we were disturbed not only at 10:13 a.m. but again at 11:15 a.m. The woman responsible claimed to be a supervisor, and when confronted during the second disturbance, she lied about having entered the room earlier, further exacerbating our frustration with this situation. 4. Fire Drill We were not warned about the fire drill that was planned during our stay, causing our baby to wake up yet again.

Property is very good and staff polite and reasonably attentive. Parking was good and location perfect for Twickenham Stadium visit but our room was very disappointing. Was for disabled guests but tired and outdated and as able bodied meant toilet too high and sink too low. Only 1 towel for 2 guests and poor tea/coffee facilities and 1 biscuit. No fridge or ice and no room service. No bath and dated shower. Bar food dry and unappealing. We left it. Think we just got the worst of everything. Shame

Nice location, disappointing stay.
It happened to be a very hot weekend in July. We were in the conference room which was ridiculously bright – no facility for reducing light – made it difficult to see anything projected on the screen. The air conditioning was not working – the whole experience was MISERABLE Yes, I booked a single room but normally one stays as a single person in a double room, with double towels and refreshments etc. I paid considerably more at the Lansbury, because it has such a high opinion of itself but I’ve had much better facilities in a double room, four-star hotel for half the price. I do not think the room had air-conditioning – okay many hotels do not - but I don’t think I could open the window. I recall I had to keep my curtains closed in an effort to cut down on heat from the Sun. I think I could open the bathroom window. Overall it was not a happy stay. I was not staying there by choice but in order to be at the same location as a conference I was attending.

The room was not worth the money we paid for. The beds weren't very uncomfortable and spider wipes were all over the room plus the floor made a very bad noises. Spa thermal\steam room was closed too. The food wasn't great either. Definitely not the 4 star, more like basic 2 star. Would not recommend for spa and wellness get away. Staff at restaurant and bar however were nice & friendly.
