Clean. Great location. 1960s decor. $400 price tag
Pros: * Location is great - near the village so we walked everywhere which saves the $40/day in parking that the local lots were charging. * They have a great pet policy so you can travel with your dogs of any size. This is rare and a huge plus if you're bringing your dogs. * Rooms admittedly well maintained considering the age of the decor. It did NOT smell, which I was half expecting b/c it's wet and dog friendly and has carpets. They must change those carpets frequently. Cons: * The decor hasn't been updated since 1960s. It shows. * There are no accessible/convenient outlets unless you unplug their lamp or alarm clock. No excuse for this in 2024 - at please put out some power strips. * We didn't try their breakfast - it looked like 2 kinds of cereal and a make-your-own waffle appliance. * There is no cleaning during your stay (we stayed 4 nights). We ran out of toilet paper mid way. When we went down to ask, we got 1 roll. It's a bit cheap considering . . . * They were charging $400/night/room. I get that it's touristy location and likely very seasonal. But for $400/night - I expect a little more.

the beds were very uncomfortable, old mattress. the dispensers in the shower were clogged, they knew it happens, but didn't do anything to remedy it. the heater was either full on or off, not working with thermostat so room was very uncomfortable to sleep in.

We had a wonderful time in Leavenworth. We booked our stay at Der Ritterhof. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were big and spacious with nice balconies. We had a wonderful time!

Most expensive cheap hotel we've ever stayed in. Overpriced is expected during the high holiday season, but didn't realize this was more like a 1.5-2⭐ property. Main plus was free breakfast which was mostly fine. Staff were also nice. Rooms are very outdated, walls are thin. A longer walk than most places into the main part of town, but doable. They don't tell you that you can't park your car past the 11am checkout time, even though you have their pass from your stay. I happened to ask as we dropped off the key card and were about to walk into town. Had I not double checked, we probably would've been towed. Unexpected inconvenience, not only bc of the price of the stay but bc check in isn't until 4pm anyways. If you have a chance to stay somewhere better in town for the price, go for it. If you were stuck with little to no options like us, you'll survive. Also, don't book on Expedia if you're worried about weather delays or restriction issue crossing the passes to get into town. Apparently they only refund Expedia purchases if both passes are completely closed.

Hotel intentionally misrepresents policies, including 14 day cancelation (when you call, its actually 15 days which they claim is 14, even though written policy they send and on 3rd party website is 14); they charged the whole stay 2 weeks prior to arrival (their written policy says 1 night to hold the room, then they lied about the policy meaning when confronted); they tried to charge me for my SA (even though I'd told them in advance); they lied about my SA urinating on a bed (he would never and was never even alone) then switched the lie to that their was mud on the top sheet (ordinary use due to the conditions). When I confronted them about their intentional misrepresentations, they simply claimed I was wrong (I'm not). There were other cleanliness and safety issues. Stay away from this hotel.

All around the experience at the property was terrible and if I could've canceled and got my money back, I would have moment we check in person is extremely rude to us. We just ignored it thinking they were having a bad day. Come to the next day at the stay, I stayed a total of four nights three days I did not get room service once even when I requested it twice, we did not get toilet paper at all. We had to quite literally beg them for some as I'm using the bathroom. The light fixture is leaking from the room above we tell them about it and they ignore it. Don't even check out the fact that there's an electrical issue with water. There was no hot water to take a shower past one person a night when there were three people in the room quite literally only one person got a shower every two hours and after a whole day, you're exhausted didn't wanna go to bed and to not be able to take a shower without having to wait 2 to 4 hours just to take a shower one we're paying all of this money and not a single thing could be met to our need to summarize. We couldn't get any customer service. We didn't get any bedding after requesting some we didn't get any toilet paper our roof was leaking and they ignored it all around would not suggest going to this hotel. The area is perfect. I love and I go to Leavenworth at least three times a year. I've had a couple of bad hotels up there but nothing that's ever actually made me leave an actual review. This place was abysmal.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were average. Definitely not worth the money. Rooms seemed a little on the smaller side. Barely enough space for everyone. The complimentary breakfast looked nice, but the area available for eating was very small and not adequate for a large group of people. Overall experience was pleasant.

Front desk lady was amazing! Warm, friendly and helpful. Shower had no pressure whatsoever. Just dribbles on you. Room had an old, unpleasant smell until you got used to it. Pillows were chunks of concrete with pillow cases on them. Wouldn't even bend. Overall the stay was adequate but likely won't stay there again.
