We go to Lancaster Pennsylvania every year in October. We stay at different hotels/motels each year. We are accustomed to the simplicity of the motel experience and we were really looking forward to staying at this particular motel. I think this one would have earned a five star rating under typical conditions. However, our experience there occurred as they were in the middle of a remodeling process, and I think that probably affected some of the experience. The beds were sufficient, nothing to write home about, and the room seemed fairly clean, though dated. The only real negative issue we had was with ants that showed up in the corner on the floor in the area outside the bathroom. We didn’t investigate the extent of them and we didn’t say anything to the management. It was our last night there when we discovered them and we were leaving early in the morning. Again, I think that may have been connected to the remodeling that was taking place. The location is amazing. And the convenience of parking right up at the door with your designated parking space is really great. That’s the benefit of the motel lodging. We’ve heard so much about Bird-in-Hand and was really looking forward to staying there. I wish I could’ve given it a five star rating because their reputation is very good.

The room was nice and clean but somewhat noisy at night because our room 144 was in back near highway. Staff was friendly and professional. The on-site construction due to earlier explosion and fire was somewhat inconvenient and an eye sore.

I have been coming here for 25 years. Sad to see the property going downhill. Bees nests, hole in the tub in my room, causing flooding, many things you would not ever see here in the past. Unfortunately it is no longer well kept. So sad as it was always one of my favorites.

Such a nice homey place to stay! Staff was welcoming and helpful. It was very conveniently located to local attractions and there was lots to do on the property alone. I would recommend to anyone coming to Lancaster or nearby areas to stay here. Thank you for an excellent stay!

We stayed here for a girls weekend. Everything was excellent. Right in the heart of amish country. Very conveniently located to many attractions and shopping. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and have everything you need.

Let me start with the bathroom. When you open the door Togo in you have to shimmy to the side of the toilet to go in.The door is 2 to 3 inches from the toilet. The shower side is even worse yet. The toilet is very low, I just had 2 hip replacements and I could barely get off that toilet. Husband said he killed a spider in there and there was also ants in there. Now I will move onto the pool. The water itself was nice but the pool is filthy, green algae all over and very dirty up around the edges. The hot tub was nice. Check in was ok. The grounds was nice. The beds was very comfortable. Lastly, I never went to a hotel that they didn’t have a big pot of coffee for the customers in the morning. I do not recommend this hotel.
