Comfortable plane to stay in the M4
Great guy on reception - very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Despite being just off the motorway our room looked out at a wooded wildlife area.

Good for service station accommodation
Ideal for what I wanted. Food court next door in service station, on the motorway so good movement for working around this area. Counter staff friendly, common areas a little dirty and dated but you wouldn't expect anything else for accommodation on motorway services. Rooms are a good size, beds are comfy and shower is great. Extra, tea, milk and coffee in reception along with any additional towels you may require

A hotel well past its sell-by date
This was at the budget-end of the budget market. It was poorly sound-proofed - I could hear every conversation in neighbouring rooms and the floor above banged as residents moved around. Very little sleep available on the ground floor. The building is well past its sell-by date and needs to be torn down and started again. I had paid for four nights but only stayed for three.

Bedroom comfy. Bed comfy but a bit high to get on. Clean bedroom. Floor pf bathroom had white powder on it when i arrived and bath had a couple of marks on it - marks, not dirt. Another grab rail in bath - on long wall would be helpful. Tv remote control a little temperamental

The room was good. Bed very comfortable and generally clean. Room 007 has a fridge which was nice. Bathroom clean and fully functional. Could have done with another handrail near soap dispenser to aid getting out of bath as Im a little unsteady on feet after leg injury a few years ago. Could hear people moving around upstairs, especially first night - thought it was a herd of elephants and that they were going to come through ceiling. Quiet room apart from that. They don't service the rooms whilst you are there - i eas there 4 nights but you can get clean towels, more tea/coffee/ milk from reception if needed.

Convenience and parking were the positives due to the hotel being at a motorway services. However, the room needs cleaning and updating - dirty taps, bathroom floor, black marks on the ceiling above the bed, spiders webs and poor facilities such as loose plug sockets, botched diy attempts and a crooked toilet roll holder.

Receptionist great and helpful and all staff we met in the Welcome Break were also - but the room, although basically clean was dilapidated. The wash basin badly cracked and the floor covering peeling at the edges, and the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

It’s in a motorway services, so didn’t expect much, however the window lock was broken so could hear all noises from outside. The curtains barely fit the window and were falling off, the bathroom stank of damp/mould, the flooring join to the bathroom wall was broken with mould growing. There were spider webs between the bed and wall, so clearly not dusted properly. Only needed a bed overnight so chose this 2 star cheap property, but pay the extra £10-£20 and go somewhere else.
