Overall excellent property. Nice lobby. Appears they change the art installations frequently . Few quirks they take away the water from the lobby in the evenings. Also the bakery opens at 8 am. Would be ideal if opened earlier. Excellent rooftop.

This is truly one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed at. The staff are all very kind, the facilities are all very intentional, clean, sleek, and add to the experience. Our room was lovely, the steam shower especially was a huge highlight to decompress after a big day of exploring Kyoto. It is very easy to walk to train and bus stops and get around most of Kyoto. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! A big highlight of our journey in Japan so far.

The property was beautiful and the rooms were large. Also, service was wonderful - hotel reception helped us book a last minute dinner reservation. Most (if not all) employees spoke English. The only downsides were that the breakfast was quite expensive and the lobby music was a little loud for my taste. Location is wonderful if visiting Kiyomizudera and the Gion area. All in all, great property and service. The hotel will give you a ticket for a bus ride to the Kyoto station. It was nice to do that rather than pay for a taxi.

Great hotel near Kiyomizu-dera!!!
We were only in Kyoto for a night but we loved our stay here. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. It has a rooftop bar, pastry shop and a restaurant with a patio. We walked everywhere and I can say that the walks are in a pretty comfortable distance especially if you like walking! Would stay here again when we go back to Kyoto.

Omgosh I had the best stay here and I loved the aesthetics here. I loved loved loved the rooftop bar. There’s 3 dining options and I cannot believe they even had a gym. Everything was super clean. The front desk reservationist was amazing loved Moe!!! She recommended spots, would book whatever I needed as far as dinner resos and local massage resos. She was my translator when I needed assistance booking local things with others who didn’t speak English. A lot of English speaking staff here. I don’t think I ran into one staff member who didn’t speak some English. Wish I could have stayed longer and I felt beyond safe here! I also walked everyone bcs it was all so close and convenient
