"lovely peaceful old world place. Beautiful grounds. If you are looking for the antithesis of the high rise tourist hotel, this is it! The black sand beach is great for walking or riding horseback, but not swimable. ( the pool is popular) We loved sitting on our porch in the morning looking at the ocean hearing the birds. And watching the sunsets in the hammocks or lawn chairs was great! Very friendly laid back place. We were disappointed that the restaurant on the grounds wasn’t better and there weren’t many options nearby."

"Loved this place! This is what you think of when you say beach cottage. Really comfortable furnishings and tastefully updated. Came with everything we needed like a cooler, beach chairs, etc. the outdoor space was private and serene. The grill and outdoor shower making it even better. Steps to black sand walkable beach and pier. We had zero issues with unhoused people or the restaurant next door. As some people mention in reviews. We felt safe and relaxed and would love to stay here again. "

"Property is well situated and provides many opportunities to watch whales and relax. The TV cables need to be replaced because they caused may intermittent problems. Some panels in the blinds need to be added and some need to be replaced. Overall a great experience and it could have been better with the minor inconveniences mentioned."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. The photos were accurate. The location was great - we went snorkeling a couple time in the harbor and walked down to the botanical gardens. The decor, books, games, all the little details made the house very comfortable and special-feeling. Watching the sunset from the deck was a perfect way to spend an evening!"
