Seahorse Cottage Bungalow - Only 7 Blocks from the Beach

Seahorse Cottage is only blocks from Jacksonville Beach (dog friendly ), close to Mayo Clinic, and has recently been renovated. Whether you are looking for a short-term vacation, or a long term stay in a home with all the amenities, we are set up for you.

The home has 3 bedrooms with a California King Bed, Queen Bed, and a room with a trundle bed the has 2 twin mattresses. If you need to get some work done while on vacation the 3rd bedroom has a built-in desk and computer monitor for you to use as well as high-speed internet. If the sun gets to be too much the home has 2 large screen TV's, cable, streaming services, DVD's, board games, and books for you to enjoy indoors.

Your front door is only 7 blocks from the sand and sea. The home is centrally located in Jacksonville Beach and is a short walk or even shorter bike ride to many of the areas attractions. Don't want to travel with your bike? We have you covered. There are several beach cruisers with locks in the garage for your use.

Traveling with children or pets? We have a fully fenced backyard and are located less than a block from Gonzales Park. There is room there for your dog to run, playgrounds for your children, and a basketball court. You will also find an assortment of balls for your use in the backyard or the park. There are sand toys and body boards for the beach. And we have your pets covered with bowls and a crate in the event you need one.

If you are looking to get out and find something to eat or drink, we are just a few blocks from Margaritaville, and a host of other fantastic restaurants. We have detailed some of our favorites that we will send you in our welcome guide once you book.

If shopping is what you are after, we have a ton of eclectic beach stores, art studios, and are located a short drive from the Atlantic Beach Town Center.

If you are a golfer, there are over 30 golf courses in the greater Jacksonville area, including TPC Sawgrass and the players championship just 7 miles away.

If you are looking to stay in, there is also a BBQ grill on the patio, plenty of furniture to sit around and talk, and a fire pit to enjoy the evenings.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Seahorse Cottage was practically perfect! The cottage was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. Its in a great location. We enjoyed riding the bikes the owner provided.

We travel to Jacksonville every few months with my husband's work and try and book this home whenever it is available. It is always spotless, and they have thought of everything you may need during your stay. The location is great too! We also love the fenced in backyard for our little dog.

The house was not only clean, roomy, comfortable, and easy to access, but it was incredibly well stocked with anything we needed. From corkscrews to hot pads and even dog supplies. We were so impressed. And, the location was perfect. It was an easy walk to the beach or a quick and inexpensive Uber to some great restaurants. And did we mention the pumpkin donuts? Can’t say enough good things about the place. If we ever need another trip to Jax Beach, this will be our place.

Perfect little beach bungalow
I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. It was clean and well stocked unliked some places I’ve rented. I vacationed with my 72 yo mom and 3 yo granddaughter as well as my dog. We enjoyed the fenced in backyard and the quiet neighborhood (except the frat party next door one night but the police shut that down). We loved that we could load up the car and turn left out of the drive and we were 7 blocks from public parking and beach access. I also had the most pleasant experience with the owners as hurricane Debby spoiled my original dates but the owners were so easy to work with and changed my date twice. If I’m ever back in Jacksonville I will definitely be booking this sweet little beach house!

Great house close to the beach
We stayed here while in town for a wedding. cute house, comfortable beds, great location. We really enjoyed winding down in the back yard in the evenings. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach. We did not travel with dogs but this house is perfect for those who will.

Great getaway!
This was the perfect place to stay for our trip. It was clean and close to everything. The fireplace in the backyard was stocked with firewood and made a great place to unwind with friends. The host was quick to reply and react to any and all of our questions even when we forgot items he went above and beyond to make sure we received them! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again for our next trip.

Had a great stay in this lovely house. Well decorated and beautiful fenced in yard with fire pit. I wish we had the chance to use the fire pit! We dined one night at local restaurant Dwight’s Bistro, which was fabulous and highly recommend! We visited Hannah Park on our last day when we checked out with our dog. Great park!

Great stay!
If you are traveling with your pooch and looking for a clean, comfortable, well-equipped home with a big fenced back yard, look no more. We spent 10 days at the Seahorse Cottage and it is all of the above. It is also in a great location with the neighborhood offering outstanding “walkability”. We aren’t sure who enjoyed our morning strolls more, us or the dog! There’s lots to do and great dining within short distances in any direction. We would highly recommend the Seahorse Cottage and stay here again if we return to the Jax Beach area!
