The overall stay was great. The hotel is clean and the staff is nice (specially Omer and Aysa during breakfast), except for one staff member: the man who stands outside the “welcome” guests. I didn’t get his name, but he was on the shift of Tuesday November 19 at 2:45pm when I arrived to the hotel. The taxi driver I had taken from Sabiha airport unexpectedly asked for 520 Turkish Lira in tolls (15 USD, which even in the US is a lot lol) in addition to the 1.280 TL fee and he didn’t show me proof that he had paid this much in tolls. When I asked for proof he was screaming at me, and then the taxi driver spoke to this Movenpick employee in turkish and I don’t know what he said but the employee was very rude, he sided with the driver and started arguing with me and then at some point he tried closing the taxi door on me and said “fine, go to the police station with him”. This is unacceptable from a five star hotel employee and very unprofessional. You do not close the car door on your guests and talk to them like that. I ended up paying the toll fees obviously and the taxi driver AND the Movenpick employee were wrong because when I left on Sunday from Movenpick to Sabiha airport I paid ONLY 130 TL in tolls!
