I stayed for a week and I must say staying here was my best decision, the place is safe and clean and the manager and employees are outstanding , very helpful and kind , just a few blocks off Hagia Sofia and Tram lines and bodega like stores

I recently stayed at Erguvan Hotel, and my experience was extremely disappointing. From the start, the receptionist, Bega, was rude and dismissive, offering no help and making me feel unwelcome. The hotel advertised breakfast as included, but upon arrival, I was informed of an additional 6-euro charge per person per day. This deceptive practice was frustrating, and the process of taking plates to the reception to pay before returning to the fourth floor to eat was inconvenient and stressful. The room was a major letdown. It was small, dimly lit, and poorly maintained. There was only one bedside table, and the fridge didn’t work. The cleanliness was appalling, with hair all over the bedding. Basic amenities like toilet paper and soap were missing, and the tiny bin could only hold one bottle. The view from the room was also terrible, with windows facing a 3-meter wall, making the space feel claustrophobic. Additionally, despite being advertised, there was no safe, which left me uneasy about the security of my belongings. Due to these issues, we were forced to change hotels, disrupting our trip. The poor service, false advertising, and uncomfortable conditions made staying at Erguvan Hotel unbearable. I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere to avoid the frustration and disappointment I experienced. This hotel fails to meet even basic standards of hospitality and comfort.

The hotel and staff was exceptional and friendly. I would advice to anyone planning to stay here, please do not bring your car because area surrounding the hotel offers very limited parking spots and it’s difficult to drive around. Sultanehmet mosque, Hagia sophia, Topkapi palace and food places are walking distance and easy.

A Delightful Stay with Great Value
My stay at Erguvan Hotel was wonderful. The hotel offers great value for money. The breakfast was delicious, with a stunning view of the sea from the breakfast hall. The bathroom was spacious and featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch.

Very nice, reasonably priced inn right by the Blue Mosque and close to the waterfront. Excellent location, clean and cosy room, helpful staff. Didn't try the breakfast but it was available for a small fee.

The hotel is fine and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The only issue is that the air conditioner didn't work, which in July made things very uncomfortable.

Room was provided on terrace and it was no where close to image. fridge was not working and they did nothing for it, cleaning staff did not cleaned the room nor they changed the bed sheets. I had a sprain in my ankle, but I was forced to take stairs from 3rd floor and was told that “in your booking we can give you either double bed or twin and we will give double bed to a couple so the only option is twine on terrace which you have to take” their was no dressing mirror in room, lights were too dim and it was impossible to get ready as bathroom mirror had extremely dim light. When I asked to change room with all the problems I had…. I was told that I am finding reasons and they won’t do it. There was no place to keep soap in shower. We had to come out of shower to grab soap from basin. All ok all I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great staff especially Selim Bey and his crew. Hotel is as close to Sultan Ahmet square (Blue mosque and Aya sophia) as you can get. Great over all experience would recommend for the price point of around $100 CAD a night in late May.

The property is run by Mr. Selim and his associates (one of which is Mr. Burhan). They created a family atmosphere and were helpful in every way they can. The property is run very smoothly and as opposed to other properties in the Sultanahmet area (extremely popular with tourists) the focus in Ergovan is on quality: no frilly decorations, and curtains. The focus is on service, comfort, and efficiency. Ten stars!

The staff at the front desk were all exceptional. When we first arrived, we thought that the gentleman at the reception desk was trying to sell us multiple expensive tours and trips. No. He knew his city and he was recommending tours that would allow us to get the most from our 3 night stay. Every trip and tour that was recommended to us meant that we had a full experience of this wonderful city.

conveniently located near the main sites--a few minutes walk to the Hippodrome and Blue Mosque. Close to the tram line to other parts of the city. I stayed there 2 weeks. Staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. Room was a double with a view of the sea. Plenty of room .
