The Place is now my favorite hotel in Europe! The staff could not have been more kind, attentive and helpful. When our flight was cancelled, they arranged for a hotel in another city, train tickets and transportation. The dining room is exceptional, breakfast was delicious and the rooms charming. But it is the outstanding staff that makes this hotel so exceptional!

Paid nearly $2000 for a one night stay and the property did not reflect the price tag. On the morning of our departure, while breakfast started at 7:30am and we came down after 8am, it appeared that no one was even ready to start their work day until well after. After being seated, waited at least 10-15mins before anyone came to offer a menu. Coffee was terrible, breakfast marginal at best. Not a 5 star level experience by any means.

Not only is The Place Firenze a beautiful home away from home, but the level of care they provide is without rival. Lorenzo in particular went out of his way to help us with issues ranging from COVID testing issues to booking fantastic restaurants. Carmen was helpful and warm as well, as were the restaurant staff who made us feel welcome and in a home away from home. Fantastic food and ambience at both the hotel and the restaurant as well.
