Dirty and filthy vomit on carpet dried. The room smelled bad blinds broken furniture had tears and holes. It reeked of cigarette smoke. Restaurant was closed permanently. Mattress needs replaced. Upgrades needed badly. We found another hotel for our second night. Will not be going back. The scenery was the only good thing about this hotel.

You Get What You Pay For
Cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. It was December and the heater didn't work, so that's really bad. Wifi was too slow to work too, also really bad. Overall it was the cheapest option but I will not be staying here again. It will be worth staying somewhere else that has higher standards.

I stayed here this past weekend. Unfortunately I did not have a good stay. The front desk was friendly but that’s it. The room was dirty and the bathroom was disgusting. They never cleaned my room during the weekend.

A large older property with some signs of deferred maintenance. It appears that some rooms may be in the process of updating. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Very convenient to downtown Nevada City; walking distance in good weather. A good value for the cost.

It seemed like a small crew for a large property. Wet leaves on the stairs, litter in the parking area. The room was fine. The Wi-Fi weak. I didn’t expect much and didn’t get much for the price. There is no excuse for the things they can take care of, like leaves and litter.

So if your checking in after dark maps sends you past the property and with no Lit sign i went past it and came back. I went to the only building that had lights on to ask if this was the hotel. The guy said yes and everything was fine. Room was ok, but the sheets smell smoky, probably washed with smoker room sheets. Id stay again.

I had visited many years ago and had a great stay. Now the property is going through renovations. Everyone at the desk was great and accommodating when we asked to be moved to another room. There are many things to like including a great location to Nevada City, and the price is right compared to other stays in the area.

the pictures do not reflect the actual status of the rooms. the sink inside the door upon entering ,water was always running, the carpet was dirty and stained, there was a horrible smell thru out the room, the walls were dirty along with the floors. the glass sliding door had hand prints all over them. The kitchenette was sticky upon touch of most all appliances. there was dry rot on the counter along with missing tiles. The chairs had furniture covers on them, underneath, yuck. The couch was dirty and had large runs in the material. over all not a good place to stay.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and the ice machine is not working. We had to drive to the gas station for cups of ice. And there is no freezer in the fridge in the room. They used to serve breakfast and now you can go to office for a danish. But it is very quiet
