Include the whole family or all of your friends, as well as your dogs, in your adventurous ski or lake vacation at this charming Government Camp vacation rental. Here, you'll find all the comforts of home along with two large balconies, and a deck, so you can relax before the views after a long day on the slopes.

Surrounded by lush greenery, this home offers a serene getaway while still being less than a half-mile from downtown Government Camp, and within easy access to and from Highway 26. You can walk to the Taco Shoppe, Govy General Store, and much more.

Nature comes to you at this homey lodge. Wood furnishings and accents spot every room and the middle level even has log cabin walls. Enormous windows bring in bright natural light and make this home feel spacious and airy.

Step through the front door to find a comfy living room with a wood-framed futon and comfortable chair. Away from the main living area, this room is perfect for some quiet time reading a book or playing a card game across the etched wood coffee table.

You'll most likely spend most of your time on the second level with the open concept kitchen, dining room, and family room with a gorgeous fireplace. Relax on the leather sofa in the family room while watching a movie or show on the flatscreen TV, which includes cable and a DVD player. WiFi is also provided here so you can easily look up directions or stay caught up on work emails.

Hook your iPod or phone up to the Bluetooth speaker and crank up the music while you prepare delicious meals in the kitchen. The granite countertops, stainless steel major appliances, and tile backsplash bring a wonderful sense of elegance and ensure meals are made and cleaned up in a snap so you can spend more time vacationing. Also included is a microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster, French press, and more.

A rustic dining table with benches on each side of the table for the group to sit down for a meal together.

There is a half bathroom off the main area as well as French doors to the large balcony. Head outside and light up the grill for steaks or settle after your downhill ski or kayak workout.

Take the stairs up to the third level to find two spacious master suites, each with access to a private deck. A sofabed will sleep the remainder of guests, and a washer and dryer are available for your convenience.

All guests will get a good night's sleep here with beds for everyone and don't forget to include your dogs in your vacation.

You're only four miles to Trillum Lake for fishing, kayaking (rentals from Mount Hood Adventure Park deliver to the lake), and just all-around breathtaking views in the summer. Winter months offer fantastic skiing just steps away at Ski Bowl East, and a shuttle can also take you to Ski Bowl West. From this great location, you're also just seven miles from Timberline Lodge!

Rain, snow, or shine, this Mount Hood vacation rental offers a wonderful family or friend retreat with more than just the comforts of home.

Great mini vacation
My family and I stayed 2 nights at the cabin. It was perfect for us. Close to Mt Hood Meadows, night sledding and lovely walks in the woods. A couple of maintenance issues which I’m sure will be resolved for next guest.

Perfect getaway!
We had a great time here. Check-in process was seamless. The house was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. No issues with appliances. The house was the perfect location for all the things we wanted to do, and it was nice to just walk across the bridge to the store/restaurants. Please know that you WILL hear highway noise, but we knew that from reading other reviews. I don't think the highway noise is easily avoided if you want to stay in Government Camp. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back again.

Beautiful cabin!
We had a wonderful stay in June for my 13yo ski camp! The cabin was very close to everything! Clean & well maintained! We stayed with another family & there was plenty of room for everyone! I would definitely love to stay here again!! Only downside was the highway is very close. We just turned on the fans & that drowned out the noise!

The house was nice and well kept. However, the house only sleeps 10 but was advertised as sleeping 12. The highway noise was very loud so suggest using ear plugs.

Nightmare on Mt Hood
The cabin has so many issues. No heat or hot water on our arrival, garbage cans full of trash scattered across yard, dishwasher not cleaning dishes so everything in the cupboard was dirty and the condition of the cooking pans were horrible, dust and cobwebs all over the house…. I could go on…the one positive thing I can say about this cabin was the help from the management

Great Location
This home has a great location in Government camp. Overall the home could use a little upgrading of the pots and pans and linens. Other than that it was comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers and everything else worked well.

Beautiful log house. Good location
Great house. But… Very dirty unusable hot tub. Cloudy green water with a big wad of chewing gum floating around. Empty plastic bottle on the bottom and disgusting hair clump floating around. We should get our hot tub fee back.

Excellent house
This was a good getaway for our family. The house is smaller and darker than it appears on the photos, but looks exactly like the visual. Neighborhood was great, love the location. Thank you so much Vacasa!

I was absolutely lied too. The hot tub does not work,.
Do not rent this home if you are looking for an relaxing home In The mountains. The hot tub is broke, it needs a part and it is a known issues and they lied and said it’s up and running and working when it is NOT. I was actually told to add hot water from the kitchen sink if I wanted it hot! The lack of customer service was beyond disappointing! I am demanding a refund. I have contacted everyone I can by email and Text to make this right! I would have never rented this home if I knew the hot tub was not working. Hands down the worst place we have rented in a very long time OH and they charge you if you want a late check out! Save your money- don’t rent his home! I

Nice Place
The house was in a great location near town & Skibowl East. We had to stream football games on Thanksgiving from our phones & computer as the place does not have regular cable tv. The hot tub is not hot enough to use & the lid is completely water logged & heavy to lift. Lots of room for a few family’s & comfortable beds. It would be good to bring ear plugs to sleep as there is no interior soundproof insulation (u can hear everyone in the top 2 levels) & freeway traffic can be noisy at times. We did enjoy our stay & loved the log cabin look of the living room & wood burning fire place.

Cabin getaway
This property is a really nice place to getaway! We really enjoyed the cabin style home, it was super cozy! The only couple of things was that they had not swept, vacuumed, or dusted in a while it seemed like and the hot tub was only lukewarm like a bath. But other than that it was a nice place to stay and I would go back!

Great area, Easy access, Comfy home!
We loved the area with an easy walk to Government Camp and Mt Hood Adventure Patk. Lots of adventure all over the area with Trillium Lake and Timothy Lake for paddling, Timberline on Mt Hood for hiking and easy access to snow for our dog, great food nearby, and adrenaline bungee jumping, zip lining, and a gangly tree course just minutes away. The house is comfy and very spacious for a large group. The kitchen is decently stocked but bring your own frying pans. The only drawback is a spring right outside the front door which means mud everywhere and a huge hole you don’t want to get anywhere near with your car.

Nice chalet, bad location
Beautifully constructed log chalet, kitchen and bathrooms clean, as was bedding. The downstairs carpet is gross and smelly, too many dogs over the years. Should be replaced. My bad for not pinpointing the location on the map before reserving. It is adjacent to hwy 26 and trucks roar past all day and nearly all night. Not even possible to sit outside or have windows open. Maddening. Completely ready to leave by checkout time. And what the heck, charges from both VRBO and Vacasa?? The final cost was definitely not worth it.

House is a great location. We had some minor issues but nothing major. Grill would not work and look like it had seen its better years. Hot tub was not working and left just cold, dirty water. Entry way to house was really muddy, they could use some stone in the drive or walk area to help keep bottom area clean. Other then that, house was nice and kitchen had some supplies for use.
