The hotel was desolate and under construction. The pool and hot tub were closed by the health inspector according to the woman at the front desk. The room was cold and unwelcoming as if they didn’t expect guests. The floors were cold laminate wood with no rugs. The staff at the front desk were two young boys that could not answer questions. No manager was available. Smelled like paint. They should remain closed during renovations. Terrible experience.

It was a beautiful place. I arrived on Sunday, for a wedding party. We got there in the morning and she was about to charged us $100 for early check-in. The receptionist was kind to drop the charge because I was part of the wedding party. It was an elegante event and very well organized!

Decided to get away for the weekend with my wife. Was disappointed that the spa and the indoor pool was under construction. Other than that beautiful old masion with lots of history. Would have been worth the money if the indoor pool was operational.

Private mansion turned into inn and conference center is quite frankly, a work in progress. Beautiful property and surroundings and close to restaurants and shops. However, rooms are more like a high 3 or 4 star hotel (although the rest of the property can be a 5). Spa and workout room as well as many meeting rooms are still going through renovations. Staff is friendly and helpful and has a bed and breakfast feel to the property.

It’s okay.
Meh. I think the mansion itself is nice. It’s old but that comes with an historic place. What I didn’t like is that the rooms are not in the house itself but on the property. We had to walk outside in the cold weather to get to the dining room. Not the end of the world but not very convenient to have to wear your jacket to eat breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good. Nice options and plenty of space to find a table even during peak breakfast time. Would I stay again? Maybe not. Not for the price they charge.
