"The room was great very clean. I just didn’t like all the tweekers outside when I first was checking in. One of them approached my boyfriend’s daughter which is only 15 years old. Then he signaled out to some other guys that were riding around on bikes. Once we got inside it was nice. But it was the whole walking inside to the property that was not a good experience. "

"It was out of the way of the main downtown areas (squarely in between Monterey and Santa Cruz), but still close enough to drive to either in 20 or so minutes. Perfect if you want to experience the bustling cities without all the clutter. There was even a cinema next door if you just wanted to catch a movie to decompress. The rooms were clean and the staff very kind."

"I really loved this hotel. Older hotel, but very well cared for. The rooms were very nice and roomy. Bed was comfortable. The cookies in the lobby are a nice touch! The only slightly negative comment is that there is no elevator...not a problem for me. The parking was very limited. Close to so many things in the Monterey Bay area. Will stay here again."
