Lovely hotel, some issues but we would go back

Lovely Hotel plan to visit again. Spa was lovely, loads of parking. Room was lovely and clean. The food in The Pentland was very nice but expensive for portion size and was not please a service charge was added as they messed up out bill and the we were cold but only noticed this once we had paid. We had expected a lovely breakfast were left disappointed with a buffet, not the best sausages, had to make you own toast and the mushrooms had not been peeled. We ordered poached eggs at breakfast as only scrambled on the buffet and the eggs turned up once we had finished eating.

Good hotel, beautiful location.

Check in staff friendly, bar staff very friendly and helpful ( but very professional service). Room nice (152) but bedding needs upgrading, duvet had pratically no filling in it, pillows a bit solid or very soft, no spare blanket in the wardrobe. We only stayed one night and we know major renovations are due so no point in complaining. In general we really like this hotel, and we'll return. Hopefully the Warner Group will get organised and start the upgrades and renovations stated soon.
