Water View, Impeccable Studio Cottage overlooking East Sound, Walk to Town, Close to Everything!

With beautiful views of East Sound on Orcas Island, this charming, studio cottage was fully updated in 2019. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the Eastsound Waterfront Park. Enjoy the sunrise and East Sound views from the deck, the sofa, and even the comfortable queen size bed in this lovely 300 sq. ft. cottage. This is the perfect solo or couple's 'getaway' cottage with all new appliances, quartz countertops, tile bathroom, comfy bedding and new flooring.




We offer a contactless checkin with a keypad code for the front door. At the same time, as your host, I am available each day during normal business hours of 8 am- 5 pm, and 24/7 for non-life threatening emergencies.

Located on the edge of Eastsound, you'll find a small number of picturesque cottages lined up on a hillside overlooking the water and town below. With tall trees, and a friendly neighborhood, Wild Currant Cottage is the perfect combination of "in-town" with a rural feel. The main road into Eastsound is below the cottage, so there will be some traffic noise during the busy times of the year.

The cottage kitchen is an amazingly spacious area with a full-sized, electric Avanti stovetop and oven, and microwave mounted above. There are plenty of kitchen gadgets, blender, hand-mixer, cookware and bakeware to make your favorite meals. We offer a coffee bar with a selection of Pete's coffee, teas, stevia, sugar and creamer. There is both a drip coffeemaker and French press along with a coffee grinder. With spices and oil stashed in the cabinets, you'll find all that you need. This Studio space is so finely crafted that it even offers a full-sized refrigerator and a stackable washer and dryer! Please note, though, there is no dishwasher, so hand washing is required.

The living room has a comfy, love seat and swivel chair with views out the French doors to the deck and water beyond. Curl up with a throw blanket and stream your favorite movies on the Smart TV, or play some of the board games provided. The sofa has a pull-out twin bed and linens for an additional guest.

The queen bed is open to the room, yet is tucked back into its own private nook. A sturdy Captain's bed frame adds storage for clothing and items brought, along with a small closet for hanging your finer wear. A small iron and board are provided!

The custom-tiled bathroom offers a large shower and vanity with all the amenities you need and plenty of towels.

Outside there is a bistro table and chairs for dining alfresco, and a gas BBQ for grilling. We provide a full tank and tools, so just bring your secret sauce recipe!

With fast, reliable Wifi with speeds up to 50mbps, this is a wonderful 'work-cation' cottage for the Digital Nomad!
