Nafpaktos. Situated on the north shore of the Corinthian gulf, it is one of Greece's most naturally beautiful locations. The landscape combines both mountainous terrain covered in rich vegetation on the north side, and to the south, a long coastal shore boasting numerous amazing shallow-water beaches with turquoise-blue waters. As if this was not enough, the area is surrounded and bound by ancient history. The city of Nafpaktos itself has a long history leading back to before the ancient Peloponnesian wars, and its castle-fortress is one of the best preserved in Greece. A plethora of historical sites surround this area at every step, almost towards any direction. Only a few kilometers to the east, up in the mountains lie the ruins of the ancient temple of Delphi. The oracle that presided there in ancient times was considered the most important in all of classical Greek history, and visiting is a ''must'' even in modern times...

Villa Beachfront which is comprised of the home Thalassa on the ground level, and the home Anemos on the upper level (rented together as one), is located right on the beach, 10 meters from the sea, on one of the best points within Skaloma village. It offers its guests total relaxation in a traditional village setting, boasting a magnificent view of the sea with the backdrop of the Peloponnesian Mountains.

The villa was designed with large groups and families with children in mind, aesthetically and practically speaking. The large out-door lawn garden and patio with dining table are perfect for relaxing while keeping one eye on the kids playing outside, and the other on the mesmerizing view. The fact that the beach is 10 meters away makes the convenience of taking a dip in the clear waters literally whenever you feel like it irresistible!

Home Thalassa on the ground-level boasts 1 master bedroom, 1 double bedroom, and a child-favorite loft with two single beds. The open-plan living room with fireplace has a wonderful garden-sea view along with the indoor dining area suitable for 8+ persons, and a fully equipped kitchen awaits family cooking. The home’s style is traditional but stylish, encouraging serenity and relaxation.

Home Anemos’s décor and style continues with the aura of relaxation on the upper level. The home has 2 large bedrooms, an open-plan living room, also with a fireplace, an indoor dining area for 6+ persons, and a fully equipped kitchen waiting to be used while cooking with local ingredients. Finally, this home’s perk is a lovely balcony surrounded by lush vegetation on one side, and a marvelous sea view of the other.

If the calm village setting is not your cup of tea, you have had your fill of kayaking (provided at the villa), and have tried all the local taverns, you are in for a real treat, as the surrounding area is one of the more intriguing in Greece. Within a comfortable driving range you can find yourself dinning at a variety of fresh fish restaurants in the neo-classical village of Galaxidi, walking through the old fortified Venetian harbor of Nafpaktos, or marveling at the ruins of ancient Olympia or the Temple of Delfi. An absolute gem
We are just back from a wonderful stay in Skaloma. From the moment we booked until the moment we left, Kostas and Zeta provided us with prompt, helpful and friendly information and ensured we had everything we needed. The villa is beautiful and right next to the beach, it looks exactly like the photos. Skaloma was busy-ish during the day (mid-August) but pretty quiet in the evenings. You'd need a car or taxis to see the local area but if you wanted to you could happily spend a week bouncing between the beach, the house, and the cafes. Everyone we met was really friendly and our complete lack of Greek wasn't a problem. We would definitely recommend this as a wonderful and relaxing place to stay, with brilliant hosts.

Simply paradise
Kostas and Zeta are wonderful and generous hosts. My family and I had a deeply relaxing and authentically Greek holiday staying at their beautifully positioned villa. The road outside was quiet and more of a pathway, where each morning either a fruit and bakery van would trundle by selling their tasty goods. The local bars and tavernas were just opening up for the summer season, so we had plenty to chose from. We swam in crystal waters every morning, walked along the seafront and in the evening enjoyed the unspoilt view with a game of cards and a glass of wine. In the garden the lemon and orange trees were exploding with fruit so we made fresh orange juice and lemonade with the kids. A truly relaxing family holiday. Kostas and Zeta - thank you so very much for sharing this home and for the incredible baklava, olive oil and olives!

Excellent property, relaxing holiday
A lovely property in a great location, right at the water's edge. The sea is perfect for swimming, and there's a sea canoe with the house. Kostas and Zeta were very kind hosts, careful to see to everything we needed, but not at all intrusive (their apartment is at the rear of the house). The house itself is very comfortable and well equipped. There are several beach bars a few steps away, though we found that we did need the car to go to the supermarket and restaurants. Kostas made some very good recommendations.

Perfect for two families sharing and even more stunning than the photo's!
Kostas and Zeta were the perfect hosts, available when you needed some help or advice but allowing you to get on with your holiday as you wanted. The house is perfect for two families sharing and very well equipped. A great kitchen for cooking at home and a decent sized fridge/freezer means you can stock up for the week. The bedrooms are finished to a high standard and most importantly have comfortable beds and air-conditioning in two of them. There are two good sized bathrooms with really powerful showers and unlimited hot water. The grounds have a lovely outside eating area that's well shaded at the side of the house and a super gas bbq means outdoor cooking was a breeze. We simply loved the house, it really worked. The beach is at the end of the garden (across a small paved road that provides car access to the beach front properties) and it's truly beautiful, with crystal clear waters that are safe for kids with some fantastic views over the bay. It really was a stunning location. The house has good quality sun-loungers, beach chairs and umbrella that you can take out onto the beach, which means it's all very comfortable. There are a couple of great beach bars/cafes on the bay a few minutes walk from the property and some good restaurants in the next village, about 30 mins walk along the beach front, which means you can ditch the car and not worry about driving. Despite the local bars everything was very quiet at night as things tended to shutdown by 11pm and it was a very 'local' scene with very few tourists. For those of you who may be concerned with sharing the property with the owners, don't be. Firstly, as I said, they are the perfect hosts and secondly their apartment is on an upper floor to the rear of the property, which means the house is separated. A prefect holiday, thank you Kostas and Zeta

Vacances au calme
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Zêta et Kostas: accueil, gentillesse, disponibilité, propreté, calme (loin des touristes étrangers), plage devant la maison. La maison est idéale pour 2 familles, fraîche et avec de l’espace à l’extérieur pour rester au calme et profiter de l’ombre et des soirées. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour.
