Loved the mattress and the view. Also really appreciated the morning breakfast staff for our 7AM meetings. Staff were courteous, professional, and resourceful. One thing I didn't like was the large amount of small gnats that seemed to be everywhere in the room. Other than that, Great stay!! Will definitely come again.

Photos show a newer and very upscale looking place. The reality is an older hotel that smells old and needs some upkeep done. My room was supposed to have king bed and double sofa bed. All that was in my room was a king bed, a dresser and tv, and a table and chairs. No sofa, no couch, no comfortable chair to sit in. The carpet was also dirty and had big stains on it. The balcony is a tiny triangle but it works to walk out on and view the ocean. Not enough room to do more than stand outside though. The ice make was out of my floor and the next closest floor, so I had to go down 6 floors if I wanted ice. Hotel advertises daily room cleaning but as soon as you walk in, there is a sign on the desk that says rooms cleaned by request. Front desk was almost always empty. I saw a total of 3 staff members over my entire stay there. Restaurant was closed for a wedding but they never bothered to take the sign down announcing the wedding afterwards, so people probably still thought the restaurant was still closed. My first day there, as soon as I walked into my room, all I heard was neighbors tv. It was left on all day and all evening. I checked in and left for the day. When I came back, it was still blaring. Also, a lot of the wedding guests were on my floor and were quite noisy getting off the elevator and talking in the halls. But once they went into their rooms, it was quiet again. Fridge was nice and cold, didn’t use the coffee maker because they only had coffee and no tea.

The good & bad at the Ashore
While checking in they said we owed more money due to missing fees not paid through Hotels but they did remove all of them - just be aware. The front desk staff were great - we were having battery issues with our vehicle and they told us where to get it fixed and gave us directions. The room was very comfortable, a few stains & wear marks….but overall very nice. Bathroom was updated, balcony was very small with an angled view of the ocean. Definitely not “ocean front” as indicated. We “tried” to eat at the Tide Room - when we arrived we sat at the bar first for a cocktail but after waiting for about 5 minutes then the bartender told us it’d be at least another 10-15 minutes wait and we should go somewhere else. As we were tired and didn’t feel like driving - we begrudgingly tried the Tap Room Bar. There we had excellent service, great selection and enjoyed delicious 2 appetizers. The bartender gave us a lot of great information about the area as well.

We stayed for 2 nights. Was right on the beach which we liked We had our pup with us and they charged us $265 for her to be there with us! That is a rip off!! That was almost the price we paid for our room! FO NOT STAY THERE IF YOU BRING YOUR PET! Some front desk workers seemed like they were there just for a paycheck. I was hoping to not have a bad review but the whole pet thing just ate at me. Prob not staying there sgain

Overall an ok hotel for the area. While the room was nice, the hotel seemed to be going for high-end hotel on the cheap. The ocean view balcony can't even fit a chair with the door closed. The hotel restaurant was overpriced. The front desk staff was efficient but cold. Parking was limited, even off-season. There was no indoor pool (something similarly priced hotels in the area offer.
