Well kept property with nice and helpful staff willing to go above and beyond. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and instant oatmeal available in the lobby. In addition, they provide you with breakfast to-go which was very inviting to start your day. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. Beds were comfortable and the room was kept warm. Would stay here again.

Dated facility but was clean. The heater did not work in our room. Would turn up the thermostat but nothing happens. There was no extra blanket in the closet in case guests were cold. Very thin blanket on the beds so we were cold while sleeping. When we checked out, we mentioned the heater did not work to the cleaning crew. They said in the summer they turn the heaters off. Why?? Summer temperatures in alaska can change rapidly and also rain. It's very inconsiderate to turn heaters off for all guests. At the very least, provide a warm blanket in the closet for when guests get cold.

Just good enough
Came into town for a family gathering. Breakfast supplied was not very appealing. Not interested in boiled eggs or super sweet grain bars or go-gurt. Only ate the fruit. Mattress was just okay and pillows were both very stiff. Staff was extremely accommodating and room was clean. No basket for recyclables.

Nice, comfortable room with extras: Every day they put an adorable breakfast plate in the refrigerator. Also, they have liquid hand soap in the bathroom. Nice little touches. Kind staff.

The hotel was fairly clean except for a towel that hung behind the door that was obviously used and there when we checked in and still there after they cleaned the room. The staff was very helpful. The worst part is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Sounded like there was 30 people in the room above us

Check under your sheets
We did a standard check for bedbugs and found red globs and tiny red specks on the mattress pad. The motel staff agreed that the spots were not something that could have seeped through the sheets. They speculated that one of the housekeepers had the sheets off the bed and spilled jelly or fruit while they were cleaning. Possible? Maybe. Likely? No. We appreciated that the staff was quick to change the bedding for us. They also checked the mattress even though there were bedbug covers under the mattress pad. They did not see any direct evidence of bedbugs. After deliberating, my family and I still did not feel comfortable sleeping in a potential bloody biohazard or with bedbugs. We ended up booking a room elsewhere.
