I noticed a smear on the floor around the toilet. I wiped it with toilet paper and it was dried pee ! I was so grossed out . It was pretty clear the bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned . The breakfast room was incredibly noisy as it’s contained in small space. People couldn’t find any place to sit and eat. I noticed a family with baby left because of the high volume of noise .

The room was very clean and well-kept; the beds were fantastic, very comfortable and seemingly new (or so well-kept as to seem new). Service at the front desk was quick and professional. The breakfast included was more and better than expected; several choices of hot breakfast items, many types of pastries, breads, and bagels; lots of fruit; four or five types of fruit juices; different coffees and teas with many condiment options. Saved me time and money, which is excellent on an overnight stay for business. The food service staff were courteous and clearly dedicated to providing good food and service. Overall, this is an excellent hotel, and I highly recommend it.

We stayed for three nights at the Bayview while exploring the island. The location for us was perfect as we wanted to explore areas to the north and south of Courtenay, but we sadly didn't find any time to explore Courtenay itself. The beds were super comfy and the room was spacious! Our kids loved the pool and water slide. The inclusion of breakfast was a big plus for us, although get down there early - we went down at about 9 on the first day and couldn't get a table it was so busy!! We learned our lesson and went at 8 the next day and it was much quieter. The selection was fairly standard for a North American hotel (cereals, toast, pancakes etc) but also had a selection of cooked eggs and sausage every day. The staff running breakfast were also very quick to top up items that had run out. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

This is our “go-to” hotel when we visit the Comox/Courtenay area. The front desk staff is extraordinarily friendly. Rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast has loads of options. Take a look at the artwork in the lobby too. It’s incredible!

Clean, comfortable, quiet, close to everything, friendly staff and a great included breakfast. They have everything for a comfortable stay. We heard great things about the pool but didn’t get a chance to try it because we were busy visiting local beaches and islands. Next time, we will because we heard the slide has a fun and fast bend to it. Definitely a place to stay again!
