Nice & clean
We were pleasantly surprised with the Hampton Inn in Camden, SC. It was very clean, inside & out. The woman working at the front desk most of the tine during our 3 night stay, was very pleasant & courteous, I wish I remembered her name. The breakfast served in the lobby was a nice change from most hotels. Fresh and tended to by staff. The room was nice & clean. The refrigerator actually worked very well, which is not that usual for most hotels. The bathroom was good and clean. The bed linens were nice & clean. The mattresses were not great, it probably was once, but needed to be replaced. My only and main disappointment was that I intentionally chose this for the indoor pool because it was chilly weather so outside activities were going to be limited. Unfortunately it was not heated well, it was VERY cold, so that definitely made my stay not as planned.

Great Stay
Stayed here for a family Thanksgiving/christmas trip. Bed was comnfortable and spacious. Staff was courtious. Breakfast did not disappoint. Loved the hotchocolate and coffee in the lobby. Will definately stay here again.

The first room had nonfunctional outlets and phone not plugged in. Light with no light bulb in it. Called and had to go to the desk and get the light bulb myself. Second room we moved to had dirty linen on bed. Clean linen provided but we had to change the bed ourselves.

Crappy TV and random Fire Alarm
The hotel looked fairly new, but the TV was already damaged with lines and burn marks - and we were unable to connect to the hotel WiFi to use our FireStick. They have basic cable with no guide, which was annoying for our TV-loving family. Also, there was a fire alarm at 3:30 in the morning and I thought it was kind of crappy that no one was downstairs to tell us what was going on - and no one apologized for the inconvenience the next morning. The Holiday Inn across the street was looking pretty good standing in the parking lot in the cold during the wee hours of the morning.

We stayed for 2 weeks. Our room was cleaned every day but 1. There is a large buffet 😋 breakfast everyday. It was perfectly splendid! On the 1st floor, there is a coffee/tea/cocoa bar. The only problem was the hot water for tea and cocoa was lukewarm at best. I would always have to heat it up in the room microwave. The pool is small but beautifully clean. The chairs around the pool were incredibly comfortable. Only 1 day there were no towels. I would say everything was grand except the pool bathroom was messy and without toilet paper most days. We love it at this hotel and will be back. The 2 ladies at the reservation desk were so friendly, professional and helpful. All the kitchen workers and room cleaners were friendly and did such a nice job.
