The bones of The Brown are truly gorgeous. Historic architectural features of stone and marble and wood all speak of a day gone by. The hotel just needs some attention; specifically bedrooms and bathrooms. Our first room had a significant mold smell and when we requested a change they immediately complied with a room on the tenth floor with a beautiful view. We had a very good breakfast in their very impressive buffet. The service was great and the food options were endless. The rooftop area was the most impressive to us as it was a gorgeous day and the space is magical.

We enjoyed staying at the Brown very much. The rooms are in good condition however just small updating would be very beneficial. There are more homeless people about the surrounding area so just be mindful, however no one seem to pose any problems.

The historical hotel was gorgeous. The front check in staff was wonderful, offering recommendations for dining & things to do. We were greeted in our room with an A/C noise issue , which was addressed immediately with an option to change rooms. Great maintenance guy!

Property is beautiful. You are transported back in time when you enter. Lobby bar is beautiful and staff were great. I just found that the location was a bit off the beaten track and we had to do a lot of walking to and from the hotel to see the sites.

Check in was great, we were able to get in early. The room had a very musty smell when the a/c fan was on high. Setting it to low helped. When we let them know they offered to move us to a different room. Hot Brown was great!!! A petite size was the perfect amount. We love historic properties, so we understand you can’t always have the best of both world's.

This was a FABULOUS treat.
This stop was somewhat random in that we had to reroute due to a dangerous storm. WHAT A TREAT. Service was great, the art and articles were a beautiful history lesson throughout the property. The room/amenities were gorgeous, elegant, and comfortable. If you don't order the Hot Brown, you have missed a tremendous opportunity to enhance your life!

I love this hotel. The restaurant is delicious, and the building is gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint is that the area seems very run down and unsafe which is not the fault of the hotel. When you walk a couple blocks down, it’s fine.
