We loved the location of the property. Walkable to Millennium Park and restaurants. They did a great job keeping up with towels at the pool even with it being so busy. It was a crazy weekend with the Chicago Marathon going on. We stayed on the 22nd floor in a double bed room. It was nice we could open up a window for fresh air, because the room was super small and stuffy. I appreciate the history of the building, but the room and bathroom need a major updating. Room service options were lackluster and very limited from the restaurant menu. You also couldn't get a text or alert in your room when waiting for in house restaurant dining. You just had to wait around and keep checking, even for 45 minutes. Just a little old school. The hotel itself was clean, just needs a bit of updating and better signage to let you know where things are. Very easy to get confused or turned around.

Although the hotel is very nice and historic our room was a little run down, small, specially the bathroom. Some drawers didn't open and some outlets didn't work. The second courtain could not be raised. beds and pillows were great and also the daily room keeping.

Beautiful lobby. That's where the good stuff ends. Rooms are seriously dated. They do not provide any kettle or coffee making facility in the room when even simple motels provide this option. But they do have a dedicated fridge with room service options that if you touch you are automatically charged. Room service did not come one day. At check in the room had bread crumbs in the bedside table. Check in receptionist was very abrupt and rude and just wanted us to get out of her face. Unless you get the room at a serious discount, I cannot recommend this hotel

It would be great if you could talk the hotel that the TUB is old and floor is like standing in QUICKSAND, and since it’s part of the shower you can fall easily. It is high risk.

Our room was standard. Clean. Big hotel, so there is a lot of walking. The location was great for walking to downtown and dining options. The lounge and areas were beautiful. The Starbucks was rude, we wished to have more room amenities to bypass them.
