Frequently asked questions
Flights To Hialeah
Hialeah, Florida, located approximately 11 miles from Miami, has fun things to do for everyone in the family. After taking one of the many flights to Hialeah, which land at Miami International Airport (MIA), spend the day watching jai alai or investigating charming antique markets. Stay at one of the great hotels in Hialeah and check out some of the popular attractions in the area. One of the most interesting is the 12th-century Ancient Spanish Monastery in nearby North Miami Beach. It was originally built and located in Spain, but fell into disuse in the 1830s. William Randolph Hearst purchased the structure in 1925 and had it shipped to the U.S.
Transportation from MIA
At the Miami International Airport, ground transportation runs all day and night, taking care of passengers debarking from Hialeah flights. Hotel shuttles can be found on the departure level. SuperShuttle vans and taxis can be found in the arrival area on Level 1, just outside the area for baggage claim. Although you need reservations for Hialeah vacations, you don't need them for the SuperShuttle or when taking a taxi that originates from the airport. To rent a car, you'll need to head over to the Rental Car Center, just east of the airport. The easiest way to get there is by taking the MIA Mover, an electric-powered train that runs from the airport to the Rental Car Center. Once there, you'll find thousands of cars to choose from.
Explore Hialeah
Hialeah is great for health and exercise. There are several aquatic centers and swimming pools available to the public. You can also run or jog in one of the many public parks that have hundreds of acres to explore. You'll enjoy Amelia Earhart Park, where you can play soccer, go mountain biking, or have fun at a real working farm. The kids can ride ponies while you operate a vintage tractor.
