A very cute boutique hotel in the heart of it all. Felt very comfortable our entire stay. Did not have the morning breakfast, but it looked fabulous and we heard it was all sourced from local vendors. I booked a room with a Canal view, and it did not disappoint. Only a 30 minute walk from the train station. It was perfectly located and a close walk to everything. 15 minute walk to the Anne Frank Museum. 15 minute walk to the van Gogh museum. A 15 minute walk to the Heineken brewery. Location was perfect.

Such a nice view
Very nice hotel and the view from the restaurant is super. No air conditioning and they supply a noisy fan. No shower, just a bath. Hôtel very well located with a Nice view

Plus: Emplacement idéal, petit-déjeuner bien garni avec de bons produits, servi dans une salle à manger donnant sur les canaux; magnifique, Points négatifs: hôtel hyper vieux, avec de vieux tapis, une salle à manger avec une vue incroyable mais avec beaucoup de lourdeur dans sa décoration. Concernant l’accueil, je crois que c’est la première fois où nous avons vécu une expérience aussi froide. L’homme en question était antipathique et blasé de son travail.

Nice place with good restaurant
The hotel is nice and the restaurant as well. The included breakfast was very good each day. We had dinner there one evening and it was outstanding. We booked a standard room, which is attic level, but with a nice view and reasonable stairs. The shower had very little pressure, but otherwise the room and the bathroom were very nice and large enough. We enjoyed Bruges and stayed long enough to see lots of it. The staff were competent and provided the basic check-in and check-out info, a good breakfast, but were not interested in otherwise wasting any words, warm gestures, or even glimmers of recognition. Bruges is pretty hard-hit with tourists, so I get it. Would probably book again there or find something a little less in the middle.

Totally amazing.
The Duc is the most amazing hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Our room was on the 3rd floor with 2 dormers with seating looking over the canal. Absolutely incredible views. The staff was great. Kiki made our time at the hotel restaurant special. I would return in a heart beat.

Even though the property is old it does not feel damp as some old properties do. It was lovely and warm, we stayed in a standard room which was at the top of the hotel, this was not an issue for us but maybe if you have mobility problems as there was no lift. The room was lovely and clean and we had an amazing view, we had a bath cone shower which again could be a problem if you have mobility issues. The water was lovely and hot and the towels clean,white & fluffy. The bed was so comfy, apart from my one at home the best bed I have ever slept in. Continental breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice, Kiki who looked after us at breakfast was so lovely and helpful. We had a lovely stay at a lovely hotel, I would definitely recommend and hope to return
