1/3 of the rooms in this hotel view a vacant lot with a constriction dumpster overflowing with trash. It seems to be the dump for area business including this hotel. Other than the walls and flooring being a little dated the hotel is nice, spacious and mostly clean but not meticulously clean. The location is A, everything else at this property in B to B-, the view from our room was an F. Parking is $45 for self parking (across the street- convenient), $67 for valet, and the hotel charges an extra $35 fee on top of all of the room rates and taxes. A $350 room cost $500 if you self park after all of the fees are added. This hotel is overdue for renovation but was probably very nice 15 years ago.

Before arriving I called to ask questions on parking since I was driving a truck with kayaks on a ladder rack. I reached someone mid day that couldn’t understand a simple question about the height concerns. She kept explaining valet parking. I asked if the parking was covered parking and I think she might have thought I was asking if costs were covered. So I told her I didn’t think we were defining covered parking the same so I asked it there was a roof over the parking area. Once again she started explaining they had valet parking. I finally gave up. Upon arrival, the height became an immediate issue. There was about 2” of clearance for the valet parking and I was told the self parking ($20 less) was not an option. I must say the remaining staff were incredible and very helpful. The room was ok but the carpet really needed to be cleaned or replaced. The bed mattress was shot and had deep depressions in the middle of each side. My side was the worst. I did report this as I checked out. I also had a corner room with a window on two sides. But the view from both the windows were the AC units. So the view was undesirable. I have to wonder if Hotel.com customers were assigned subpar rooms. The location was fantastic but my next trip will be at a different hotel. Boston hotels are not cheap to say the least, so I expect them to provide rooms accordingly

Can't beat the location. Short Lyft from airport, walkable to almost everything, and near the T-stop. My only complaint would be that they didn't provide some usual amenities such as robe and slippers or shower cap (had to ask for it) or makeup mirror which is nice to have, but overall a very spacious, nice, clean, quiet room in the heart of Faneuil Hall. Walked to Seaport area, North End, Government center, etc...it's a touristy area, but great to be in the heart of Boston.

Hotel is nice, people are friendly. The area is great, that’s why it’s expensive. BUT then they charge an additional fee because they are in a great location, that is frustrating. Also tried to charge $50 more to check in early. Didn’t offer to pay it back if we left early. $grab.

We would’ve gave it a five star but our air conditioner for the past three nights didn’t work. We asked every morning for it to be repaired and it never happened. Luckily it was cool outside and it wasn’t as big deal but it was definitely stuffy.

There is a disconnect with service. We were supposed to get the VIP room the first night but they oversold. Cold welcome and overall service from Paula who we remembered from 3 years ago. Nick R the front desk manager is the MVP who saves the day. This guy does everything well, but if he’s not there it seems like there is no service like answering the phone, etc. The hotel is in a great location and has so much promise. It’s a shame it dropped to a 3 star.
