only bad thing was no hot water till after 5 when the heating kicked in, but had to wait 45 minutes for it to warm up I think they should be hot water from 4 o'clock

We were welcomed to the hotel by friendly staff. On Saturday late morning no hot water whatsoever as it was switched off. Very poor as this wasted our weekend away. Breakfast was fair. Room was lovely but as we had no hot water this wasted our weekend away.

The TV would turn up in the middle of the night, several times. Reported to reception next morning and second night was the same. We had to unplugged the TV from the mains. Water taps in the bath where the wrong way round, cold on the left and hot on the right. On top of that, the water temperature kept changing I guess when other rooms opened the hot or cold water. They should chnge the taps for thermostatic ones.

spot on great value
Spent the day in Edinburgh and needed a place to stay, this place Falkirk turned out to be a real gem. Easy to find 30-40mins from Edinburgh. The room a large double was BIG and had loads of space. A great surpise. Nice clean and tidy slept like a baby, despite a party going on in the function room. Breakfast was great, cereals, tea coffee all available and the two breaks wife and I had were on point. Overall great value and I can truly say absolute bargain compared to what you’d pay for a similar start hotel. Wil defo be back.

The hotel has a rich history but no elevator. There was a booking issue caused by the hotel but the staff went above and beyond to make it right. There is easy parking at the hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and the hotel was great value with a good breakfast. The waiter offered to substitute any items we did not want on the full Scottish breakfast. Only slight issue was the bar food was advertised as stopping at 10 but was not available.. perhaps this should be 9:30.
