We traveled to Bondurant in early August for a family vacation with some friends and needed a large house to spread out in and a base to visit some of the local sites. We found the perfect location in the Jackson Fork Lodge.
Communication with Adam, the ranch manager, was awesome and he forewarned us that we were 50 minutes from the nearest grocery store, so we stopped in Pinedale on the way in and got the essentials for our stay. We arrived and were absolutely stunned at the beauty of the lodge and the ranch we would call home for the next several days. Even our 15 year old daughter gave us a thumb's up.
We traveled to Jackson Hole and did a river float on the Snake River one day and also traveled to Yellowstone to take in the park, but we also just spent a day at the lodge relaxing and catching up.
The lodge itself was well supplied with pantry items and linens for the stay, and our friends even commented how much better it was supplied than many of the other rentals they had visited. There were games for the kids, glassware for beverages for the adults, and plenty of space inside and out for all.
The ranch was spectacular and it is about a 10-15 minute drive off the main road to get to it, but the road back, while gravel, is in great shape and you get to see the ranch on the way. The ranch has a herd of bison that the farm manager Antonio was kind enough to take our families on a flatbed trailer and let us feed. A truly one of a kind experience.
The only issue we had was with the hot tub as we had trouble getting it up to temperature. Adam is aware of the problem and is working to fix it. Definitely not a vacation buster by any means!
For the fishermen out there (I am not) there was a nice fly tying rig in the den and upon talking to Adam there is some great fishing to be had on the river that runs through the ranch.
