I consider the Grove hotel an upscale hotel in downtown Boise in a beautiful location. The valet parking was excellent. The restaurant was excellent. The operator Molly was wonderful. And the engineer and bellhop that came to our room were very kind and helpful. The front desk staff was snooty. And even after moving rooms, our hotel room was not cool enough for a good nights sleep. The rooms were not as luxurious as I expected. And there was garbage in the hall outside our room when I arrived. Overall… Not the experience I was expecting.

For the price of the room per night, it wasnt worth it to us. The beds are terrible. The comforter on the bed had stains on it, not sure what it was. The front desk staff, besides maybe one person, wasnt very friendly. The Valet staff was the most friendly. The AC units are terrible, the room was hot all the time. Just overall, not at all worth the price of admission.

The Grove is such a lovely hotel! I came for a stay-cation of a girls night while also attending a hockey game which has an attached arena to the hotel. The lobby is lovely and so is the bar. The staff at both the bar and front desk were exceptional. So friendly! We’ve received nothing but exceptional service to the point where I’ve realized I should’ve been treating myself to this more! Now I will!
