This is a very basic hotel off of the main road through town. The biggest draw is the location --- Big Pine being a gateway to many outdoor hiking areas. The shower was warm, the sheets and towels clean. That's all we needed tonight.

Excellent family accommodation for road trip in which booking was made last minute. My only criticism would be that the sheets don’t fit the bed so well and came off easily. Nice town and nice people.

Property was OK, but very expensive for the small room. Most restaurants in town were closed down.

When you think about a motel located behind a gas station all sorts of negatives are conjured up. However you would be wrong about this place. It was quiet, clean and had all the amenities a traveler would need. This is not a quaint cottage but it is a quiet, clean place to spend a night or two

For an older hotel, in a smaller town it was definitely acceptable. I liked that my vehicle was parked in front of my room. The location is excellent for day hiking staging. Older hotels are quieter, of which , I value not hearing my neighbor as much. The room was clean. Trade offs: I do not like sleeping on soft mattresses nor dim light ( hence I travel with a small lamp) Although , for an older hotel the lighting was better the most with one in ceiling light fixture. Lastly, carpet should be removed in the rooms for obvious reasons. This could be an upgrade, but I understand , a capital expense.

Nice surprise
I reserved online. When we pulled up, honestly, I was nervous. I will admit that I am a bit of “A Princess and a Pea” sometimes, but the room was comfortable and clean as a whistle. A bit quirky for sure, but I would absolutely stay again.

A convenient spot in Big Pine. Not the greatest experience though, felt a little run down and the property was a second priority to the convenient shop/gas station.

Fast check in and check out. Room was clean and had a kitchen that was fully stocked. The store was within feet of the room and it was easy to stock up on food and supplies.
