Lakeside Log Cabin en Tunk Lake en DownEast Main

Ahora reservando para el verano 2020. El verano de 2019 se reservó para septiembre de 2018. Finales de septiembre y octubre de 2019 todavía están disponibles.

El Taylor Camp está disponible para familias que desean unas vacaciones tranquilas y relajantes en uno de los lagos más bellos y privados de toda Nueva Inglaterra. Cinco millas de largo, Tunk Lake tiene solo 12 cabañas en el sur de 2/3 del lago. El Taylor Camp es perfecto para sus vacaciones familiares. La cabina es una cabaña de troncos con todas las comodidades del hogar: TV vía satélite / Internet, lavadora / secadora, mosquitera en el porche ... y mucho. ¡Simplemente no hay nada mejor que esto! La revista DownEast (junio de 2019) nombró a Tunk Lake como uno de los 32 "Grandes estanques" más queridos de Maine, cada uno con su propio carácter y encanto.

Compras locales e instalaciones médicas: Ellsworth está a unos 30 minutos del campamento Taylor. Incluye 2 cadenas de supermercados (Hanaford & Shaws), WalMart, comida rápida (McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Friendly's, Taco Bell, etc.), Home Depot, Hospital, Clínica Médica sin cita previa, y mucho más.

Ubicación: Lago Tunk: hay natación, senderismo, monte. escalar, pasear en bote, pescar en el lago Tunk, y dado que el lago tiene tan pocas cabañas, el tráfico de embarcaciones es muy ligero. No se permiten motos de agua (por ley).

Bar Harbor es una hermosa ciudad vieja de Nueva Inglaterra y una visita obligada. El PARQUE NACIONAL ACADIA es el único Parque Nacional del noreste. No te pierdas Schoodic Point, que forma parte del Parque Nacional Acadia y está justo en la costa en el área de Winter Harbor.

Restaurantes: Hay muchos restaurantes entre Tunk Lake y Ellsworth, en el área de Winter Harbor y en Bar Harbor. Hay algo para todos, desde las principales cadenas de comida rápida (en Ellsworth) hasta restaurantes muy elegantes.

40th anniversary at Tunk Sept 2024

Jim's camp was more than we could have hoped for... well stocked, serene, beautiful envirnment, good communication.,, We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our adult children and grandchildren and we were all comfortable and felt taken care of. We hope to come back in a couple years again...!

The Taylor camp was wonderful, well equipped and very clean. The property manager was very thoughtful and reached out several times to make sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The view of the stars from the dock was breathtaking.

An amazing stay!

This was our second stay at Taylor Cabin. The cabin is welcoming and comfortable, the lake views are beautiful, and we’ve never been anywhere more peaceful and secluded! We spent most of our time floating and kayaking on the lake or sitting on the dock just enjoying the picturesque views and the nighttime stars. Day trips to Winter Harbor, Bar Harbor, and Acadia were also highlights. Hope to return again in the future!

Lovely and peaceful

Taylor Camp is the perfect spot for those seeking a serene space to enjoy the natural beauty of Maine. The house was clean and comfortable, felt roomy even for our large group, and was equipped with everything we needed - stocked kitchen, excellent laundry, games and puzzles, kayaks w/ PFDs, a grill, comfortable beds, large closets, lots of hooks for hanging things, a fabulous screened porch, and much else I'm forgetting to mention. Tunk Lake is a treasure. Great hiking nearby, and we also made several trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The owner provided great information prior to our trip and was helpful after arrival as well. We feel fortunate that we found the Taylor Camp for our family trip to Maine.

Great vacation

Can’t say enough good things about this property. Jim was super easygoing through the entire process. The cabin is such an awesome property, and is far away enough but still within reason to restaurants and shopping centers. Tunk Lake is so peaceful and the views from the dock are breathtaking. Anyone looking to get away to an awesome cabin in a tranquil setting this is for you. We will most certainly be coming back!!

Peace and privacy

Loon chatter on the lake, the change of seasons right before our eyes, and the okay to bring our dog made this a special vacation. Such a beautiful spot with so much privacy! It felt like a real disconnect from "normal" life. Much needed and much appreciated.

Beautiful Lake House

Taylor Camp is on a beautiful and quiet lake that’s really the star of the show. The house is comfortable, well laid out for a family, well equipped, and nicely kept. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screen porch and listening to the loons at night. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back at point in the future.

Amazing vacation!

The cabin is beautiful and spacious, and has everything we could have asked for. We loved the location...very quiet and secluded, but close enough to shopping, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, and just relaxing at the cabin; we also made several trips to Mount Desert Island for hiking, whale watching, etc. The owner was extremely helpful, answering questions before we even booked and providing a lot of info about the cabin, the area, restaurants, etc. before we arrived. Awesome time for the whole family!

Family get away

Terrific restful and private escape to the beauty of nature and crystal clears waters of Tunk Lake. We loved kayaking, canoeing, and snorkeling as well as venturing over to Acadia national park for several days of hiking. The cabin was fully stocked, clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy and the layout was perfect! Thank you!

Peace and plenty

Came with family and found this vacation rental to be one of the best I have stayed at in the last 25 years. It is comfortable while remaining stylish. The kitchen is well stocked for meal preparation. The porch is large and a great place to read and unwind. I especially loved the time spent on the lake in the canoe provided. It was so private, quiet and peaceful. I had my two year old grandchild and was a little concerned about safety but the Taylor cabin was thoughtfully prepared for little ones with latch locks on the porch and a baby gate for the stairs. The cabin is in close proximity to Winter Harbor and Acadia Schoodic Peninsula which is a lot quieter than the main park and every bit as beautiful. Nearby is Chippers restaurant and the food is excellent though it's more a place for adult and not children (make reservations). The lobster pounds close by offer a good variety of seafood and the prices are low. We had everything that we needed at this cabin and it was hard to end our two week vacation! I really didn't want to leave. I deeply appreciate the Taylor's sharing their family retreat with travelers.

Perfect escape to Maine

This place was the perfect place to relax and unwind while taking in the beauty of Maine. We loved the pricacy, the tranquil kayaking, the soothing sound if the loons, and the nature walks each morning. The camp is close to all you would want to do if you want to take in the sites as well. We stayed a week and wish it we would have stayed 2!
