We had a great experience at The Westin Seattle. We went in around noon to check our bags with the front desk and were pleasantly surprised to know they already had a room ready for us! Our room was clean and very comfortable.

Great-lobby area So so-room not as advertised So booked thru Expedia, our city view room for $377 a night was the rooftop surrounded by high rises. I looked at Expedia a few days before we were to check in and the price was $173…too late for me to cancel and rebook at the lower price and staff didn’t care…”well that’s how the reservations work” wa the answer. Cleanliness- bathroom stunk like urine Checkin- gentleman behind the desk at elite checkin was rude. Concierge were great! Awesome recommendations. Bathroom- skimped on amenities. This was not at all like other Westins. Westin has definitely downgraded since Marriott bought them. Very disappointed with this property.

Book your other option! They shouldn’t claim to be Marriott because it’s not up to Marriott standards. None of the rooms look like the images. They claim they are clean but the carpet is sticky and halls smell musty and old, I assume they know this because they include fresheners in the rooms. They sell their rooms with a “view” but the windows aren’t even cleaned. They don’t show the image of the towel location which is in the shower and the rack is all rusty leaving the towels with that residue too. The sheets on my bed had some sort of spill and I took a picture of that- they don’t even do the most basic which is provide cleaned sheets. There are also additional fees that aren’t disclosed until you’re at the counter with the rush of checking in. For the price you pay here you could put yourself at a much better updated and clean hotel.

The facility charges an extra $25/day which you can get back as a credit for food and beverages purchased that day but this is not clear in booking and not convenient. The rooms here are badly in need of a refresh (seats on desk chairs worn through,carpet stained and no place to store belongings). It’s best for convention attendees who will spend little time in their room. Staff were good and food in restaurant decent
