The pool and beach and staff are wonderful. Very clean! But our room was very outdated. Again- clean but boy does it need some updates. Our television did not work as they just messed with the cable a little bit and shrugged. The workout facility was closed for repairs and they started construction in the hallways at 9am sharp. The elevator needed work while we were there. We almost got stuck. There were no stairs?? So we used the housekeeping elevators which worked fine. The food was good- breakfast is the best! Great location and within walking distance to a cool area with restaurants and bars and shops. Nightly entertainment was an added bonus and fun to watch. We were there for the beach and it was stunning and the water was amazing. Had to get up at 6am to reserve a hut on the beach otherwise you were out of luck. Great overall stay!

Fantastic choice for those visiting Aruba! Great dining options, super easy access to the beach, incredible staff. The only improvement could be an update to some areas. This felt like an older hotel - the outlets were loose and provided very limited power;structures felt old; and (this one was disappointing for me but may not be relevant for others) the gym is outrageously unacceptable with broken and rusty equipment. Overall, though, I’d still recommend. It was clean, welcoming, and conveniently located.

There was construction going on next door. I could not get one peaceful day on the beach. The room came with a old dirty blanket that would not be changed no matter how many times the room was cleaned.

we usually stay at Riu at most of our vacations and we have loved it , Riu Palace in Aruba was not at all like others, bathrooms smells horrible, food was very bad and very poor. Service was ok. Sad to say but not coming back at Riu Aruba anymore 😕

The location is amazing, walking distance to popular restaurants and night life. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. You will feel like you’re stepping into a time capsule both in the lobby and in the rooms. Musty smell in the room and no usb chargers given it’s an older hotel. Beach was amazing so made up for the rooms being so outdated.

Do not stay at the Riu! There is MOLD everywhere. We had to switch our rooms because of the mold. When I complained, they came out and wiped or painted over the mold around our room vents. We are highly allergic to mold and suffered everyday! There is a lot of moisture and humidity in the room which causes the floor to be wet and slippery the entire time! The food is awful! The friendliest staff members were the bartenders. Not worth the $1,000. A night!!! Oh and you have to wake up at 6:00AM if you want to find a chair at the beach or pool. I would not recommend the Riu!!! Needs to be knocked down and rebuilt for sure!!!
