Solo getaway
My friends were married here which is why I decided to return. Everything is great. If you are looking for the getaway. The only thing is, I felt annoyed having to chase down the waiter which I asked for a mojito. He came by to look at the couple dining on the beach and kept passing me up. I also asked for food but that looked never to be submitted. I finally got up to ask him about it. I understand there are two waiters and they are having to take care of everything on the property. And it may take a while but when I approach him, he said he forgot altogether. The resort is really nice and everything is kept. Another thing is, upon entering the shower, it appeared that someone else had used my shower. The soap bar and body wash bottle were opened and used. My bed is comfy. I will advise that if you get a bungalow along the main road, you will hear everything. I do mean everything. I still got sleep because the bed is really comfortable. Bring insect spray as I don't know how the bugs get in but they were constant all night. I pulled the covers over my head to get some sleep. If you are coming here, go to the grocery store off the mainroad. It will be exactly where you need to make the right turn. I was starving when I arrived but was told that dinner is 5-7 pm as the kitchen closes at 8 pm. The property is beautiful and really relaxing. They have beds on the beach you can lay and enjoy the view or a book.

Great no-frills getaway
The staff is fantastic! Carlos is the only one who speaks english, but they are so kind, sweet and accommodating. The view is superb, this place is peaceful, basic and relaxing but on the rustic side. It isn't a bargain resort. And it really isn't spa-like. It's pretty simple. And I think the 3 1/2 star rating is over generous. Although I did have the entire resort to myself for most of my stay. When I was there, the hot tub and sauna were not working. The beds are uncomfortable, the linen had holes in it & was scratchy. The TV's are a tiny 15" and a few english channels were avail. The rooms are small and basic - but the casa is awesome! I wish I stayed there. One day there were kids in the pool all day which was loud and annoying since the pool & pool area is small. Guests brought their dogs and along with the neighbor dogs, they barked throughout the night, that was not cool. This place does NOT have a shop for sundries or snacks and it is very remote from any kind of store. The food is basic and expensive for what it is. Certainly not gourmet. Taxi from the airport is $35 USD ($380 pesos) but they arranged a taxi for my return to the airport that was $25 ($200 pesos). There is nothing to do here except relax and enjoy the sun. No night life, nothing. Which is great if that is what you are going for - which I did. I stayed 6 days & nights, and that was too long. I should have stayed 4 nights.
