Check in & check out was easy, valet was great, overall service was great and staff were friendly. The grounds were kept up nicely. We stayed in the Makai tower which was a good location within the property. But the reason for 3 stars was the rooms were very outdated, mattresses not comfortable, stains on lamp shades, ratted curtains at the bottom, different colored paint used for patch jobs, scuffs everywhere on baseboards, old carpet in hallways. The lagoon water was not super clean, brown foam at the bottom of the waterfalls, bandaids in the pool and no one at any time was cleaning the pools. The pool was nice but there was no service and if you wanted any shade you had to pay $100 for a little 2 person lounger with a shade to pull over your head. The first day we were there drinks were $18, and the rest of the trip the same drinks were $20, which was odd. Parking was outrageous at $55/day for valet. Again, staff was great and attentive and helpful, but When I’m paying $600 a night I guess I expected nicer
