One of the few hotels in Williamsburg/Brooklyn, this hotel is all about the image. Bar service is friendly but painfully slow (seemingly as part of the brand) Room size and limited storage assume you travel with a knapsack or oversize backpack at best. The “Queen” size beds, while very comfortable, are seemingly “Full” size in length. At 6’2”, my feet dangle off the mattress end.
Friday nights bring the pounding of bass from a nearby discotheque (or possibly in-house source) that made sleep before midnight, hard to achieve. “Real” full Breakfast and/or a simple coffee is hard to come by. (No fridge or coffee makers in rooms) if you want a complimentary Nature bar or mass market muffin in a plastic wrapper, you win. Otherwise, get dressed and head elsewhere for sustenance.
Best thing: its convenient to Domino Park, works as an aperitivo destination and very friendly front desk staff.
Worst thing: It’s not a hotel. Its a vertical
Campsite that’s trying really hard to exude hip indifference. If you've ever stayed at a Citizen M hotel, it’s similar but with less presumption of complete digital literacy needed to enjoy the machinery.
