We liked the convenience of the MyPlace motel, it was just a short distance from shopping, and the LDS Lubbock Temple. The staff were friendly and the room was quiet/clean...and the bed was comfortable.

The person who checked me in gave us a very smelly room. In fact, I noticed the window was cracked open even though the air was on. A red flag. There was something questionable rotting in the refrigerator. The phone didnt work. Discovered a dead baby toach on the key pad. My husband went down in person to ask to be moved. She said she "thought" she noticed a smell in that room earlier. We then were able to move across the hall. Why weren't we given that room initially? The room smelled fine. However. In the middle of night I saw 2 roaches in bathroom.

I have stayed here several times in the past and I always enjoyed them. This stay was the first time that I experienced an unclean room. I addressed my dissatisfaction with the room with someone in the hall amd she wiped up the food splatter. She mentioned they were short staffed. I addressed with the front desk shortly after just because of not feeling comfortable staying there for the night. The reception desk did offer to give me my money back.

I am currently battling cancer and I wanted to treat my mom to two days away from the stress of caring for me for your birthday. Upon arrival we were informed of their stupid policy that they do not rent to local people. We were shocked because it doesn't say anything on the website about this! Thank you for ruining my mom's birthday! Y'all should ashamed for treating my mother like that!

Not good at all
The bathroom has bugs, so much that they were crawling on the shower curtain when I was showering. Then the tv wasn’t working on any of the channels. The noise from the room next door sounded like there was too many people for one room. Just so many issues. So I decided to check out instead of staying the night. I went and found another hotel close by.
