I had booked one room for my daughter and her 3 children. Then my other 3 grandchildren wanted to be with us, so I booked another room. My grandchildren LOVE to swim and my daughter had ran a race and was going to sit in the hot tub after her race. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tube was not available. I did not read any of this when booking the rooms. It showed that it had a pool and a hot tub. We were all EXTREMELY disappointed. Then when getting ready to leave the following morning, the elevator was not working. I understand that facilities need to be maintained, however, I feel this should be told when making the reservation.

Unsafe construction site
The hotel was under construction and there were several fire hazards. One of the emergency exits were blocked and the smoke detectors were covered with plastic and tape. When we brought this to the manager’s attention she blew it off as if it wasn’t a big deal. It took 12+ hours for them to move the pallet off stuff that was blocking the exit and the smoke detectors remained covered. Keep in mind that the painting seemed to be finished and they were to the point of laying carpet so covering the detectors did not seem necessary

Under bed was dirty, dusty and small pieces of trash. Toilet was loose, not attached very well, with caulking exposed on both sides allowing the toilet to shift 2 inches left and right. Bath drain was not working properly and could not be operated. I’m a DIY home repair person and couldn’t fix it to allow proper drainage. Bathroom sink pull out drawer handle was loose with screws falling out.

We stayed here because of the positive reviews. Customer service was spectacular. They are under construction but it didn’t affect anything. The still had delicious breakfast until 10am. Check out was noon which was nice to hang out a little longer. The pool isn’t working but they offered us to go to a swimming pool down the street, we didn’t have time to do that but it was a nice offer. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The only thing that was a bit frustrating is there was a $50 deposit that they charged me when I checked in. We had already paid for our stay on hotels.com when we booked 2 weeks ago. They deposited it after we checked out. We had taken cash out for our little vacation so didn’t really have the money in our account for that. Idk if this was information provided and I didn’t read it throughly or it wasn’t provided. Either way, we’d definitely stay again just knowing there is a deposit.
