This hotel was an absolute horror show: bedsprings in the sagging bed poking us, internet not working, phone not working so we had to go through the courtyard—the designated smoking area—to get to the lobby to speak with the manager, loud noises from the 24-hour container shipping centre next to us, an uncomfortably hot room with the overhead ceiling fan not working, people partying, and just an all around dump of a hotel—not even a coffee maker in the room. We were very tired and it was going on 11:00 at night so we tried sleeping anyway, but just couldn’t, the bed was that awful.
We ended up asking for a different room, even though it was a hassle packing up everything and moving to another room. The second room was better than the one we had, Nonetheless, we requested a refund for our second night and checked out the next morning.
That was the worst hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune of staying in.
