I absolutely loved this property; we ended up needing to stay in Corpus a second time in the same week and we booked Residence Inn again. A different room and all was great.
We did have two issues that the property should consider evaluating. The couches are very slippery and uncomfortable. We stayed with my disabled father, who was having surgery the next morning, and he had a really hard time sitting on those couches because the cushions slide forward. It was uncomfortable for everyone who sat there, in both rooms that I rented.
Another issue that we had, was that we requested a walk-in disability shower. The first room that we stayed in did not have any barrier between the shower floor and the actual restroom floor. There are two drains, so I believe water may slide out of the shower. However, we didn’t feel safe with my dad using his walker and walking Through the restroom floor as wet and slippery as it was, so we had to put down several towels to dry up the floor after each shower because there was no barrier. The second room I rented on the second floor had a decent walk-in shower with a small barrier that worked out well.
I still rate this hotel highly and would happily stay there again.
